Happy Halloween

Happy Halloween Everyone! Halloween was so much fun this year! We, Well, I made Joel carve pumpkins with some friends and Archer even had his own pumpkin that a sweet friend from our ward gave to him. We didn't carve his because I am going to use it to make homemade pumpkin pie for Thanksgiving.

Joel stuck with the Mario theme and made Bowser and I did a tree and bats. Somehow I always end up doing a tree of some sort. Unarry!

I think both of our pumpkins turned out Great!!

All ready for Trick or Treaters!

Okay and Now to the main event! Archer as Baby Mario!!

As far as we could tell Archer was the only Mario at the mall Trick or Treating, and he kept flirting with all the Princesses. GO figure!

After the mall we walked down to Winco so we could show off Archer to all of Joel's coworkers. He was a HIT!

We ended the night with a ward Trunk and Treat at the church and a few stops to see some friends and then it was home to check out the big haul!

Best Halloween EVER!!

As a kid Halloween was all about who could get the most candy, but now it was so much more fun dressing Archer up and taking him around. I am so excited for Halloween next year when he can walk and run around.

For a little guy he made out pretty good. His pumpkin bucket , which he picked out, was nearly full by the end of the night. He had so much fun reaching in a grabbing out a piece of candy and putting it in his mouth and then dropping it and reaching in again. Archer was testing the quality of the wrappers while Joel and I helped test the candy.

At one point he found a long tootsie roll and after a while part of the tootsie roll and the wrapper was in his mouth and that put an end to that one.

This was the Best Halloween and as Joel put it, "Halloween as a Dad is so much better than as a kid," and I have to agree.

The Great Haul!!

I think my favorite part of the night was watching Archer go through his bucket and pick out his favorites. He was just so DARN CUTE!!

We even caught him trying to save a caramel for later. When we were changing him into his pumpkin PJ's a caramel fell out of his overalls. Sneaky Sneaky!

After Baby Mario was put to bed Joel and I watched Hocus Pocus with our Friends Trevor and Allison. This was the most fun I have ever had on Halloween and I couldn't have shared it with anyone better than Joel and Archer my two Favorite Boys!

Fall Family Favorites

We started off the Fall Season with going to the Vandal Homecoming Parade. It was a little chilly that morning but we were all bundled pretty good.

We found a great spot towards the end of the parade near the firestation, Archer would get SO excited when a marching band would play, next too us, the rest of it, he didn't care.

Archer has a new favorite room and it just so happens to be the bathroom. We have had to be very diligent at keeping the door closed. Otherwise this is what we find. Oh Dear!

I wanted to stop him but I was laughing too hard to tell him no. So we just stood there and laughed until the entire roll of toilet paper was in a pile around his feet.

Sweet little boy in his pumpkin pj's.

Archer also loves to get the tv remote and change the channel on his mother all day.

Oh! Did you notice that he is sitting up on his knees all by himself! My little boy is growing up.

Before the weather turned to rain, I was able to take Archer for a few walks to the park near by and I just had to get some super cute fall pictures.

Archer loved playing in the grass and I am happy to report that he only chewed on a stick and he did not eat any grass.

On the walk home it was getting kinda chilly so I put his mittens on and he wasn't too sure what to do with them on his hands. He later started chewing on them and his hands still got cold, but at least I tried.

On another walk I stood him up next to the fence and got some fun pictures of him playing with the grass. I wish that I could say that he is standing all on his own, but his bumb is leaning up against the fence.

After I took some pictures near the fence I looked up to see this guy walking by and as I did Archer did a face plant into the weeds. I felt like mother of the year. He was okay and only had a little tiny scratch on his cheek. But like Archer always is he wasn't bothered by it for too long.

I am just so glad I was able to take him out and play in the grass before we are cooped up all winter. Otherwise, I would have missed out on this ADORABLE picture. Archer even took advantage of being free! The park is just a wide open grassy area and he decided it would be fun to take off crawling. Until, he decided he was getting a little too far from mom and started to freak out a little. You can catch the great escape in the videos below. I love Fall and I am so Grateful I get to share so many new memories with Archer and Joel. I am looking forward to winter and watching Archer play in the snow.

Family Invasion to Utah

This last September we made the journey down to Lehi, Utah to see Joel's family and especially his brother Adam that was on this side of the country for the weekend from New York. Archer, Joel and I finally got to meet Emma. Joel's Sister Lindsey's newest addition to their family. She and Archer had so much Fun, they are only a few months apart and were best friends from the get go.

Emma is just the sweetest, she would army crawl all around and she just loves her little play station! Emma and Archer would just laugh, like they had some secret baby joke going on.

Grandma Harris wanted to get a few family pictures, since all her 5 kids and all the grand kids were together. I don't that between the  4 or 5 cameras we had taking pictures if we were able to get a single picture of all the the kids looking and smiling at the same time. At one point Grace said, " are we done yet, Archer is getting heavy?" Poor girl had to have little tank on her lap.

Archer loves pulling himself up and standing, ALL THE TIME! So I just had to get some snap shots of him holding onto the street sign.

Archer and Great Grandma and Grandpa Harris.

And they're off! Archer and Emma we all over the floor, even under the table crawling over our feet and through the chairs.

We even had time to stop and see Great Grandma and Grandpa Bybee.

It was so fun to hear some stories about the "good ol' days" from them.

We were a little nervous though, Archer at the time had just started eating crackers and such and Grandma Bybee gave him a ritz cracker to eat while Grandpa held him and we were afraid that Archer was going to choke and throw up all over Grandpa. We should have known better Archer did Fantastic! Other than a few crumbs Grandpa was safe.

Archer and Adam. Poor little Archer wasn't too sure about Adam at first but after a while he warmed up the him and they had fun the rest of the weekend.

We were able to have Joel's sisters Erin and Jessica ride with us from Boise and well the ride back to Boise started out with intelligent conversation, it didn't last long when Joel said the word, "POOP!" For the next few hours we got dumber and dumber. Archer had to join in the shananigins and was pulling on Erin's jacket string while she was sleeping. I was even able to capture and little video of Archer being serenaded by his aunts singing River of Love, by the King himself, George Strait. I don't think they know I took a video so this should be fun. Unarry! Erin and Jessica.

The weekend was a fast one but so worth the drive down. I can't wait for the next family get together. Who knows what crazy thing Archer will do next?!
