Summer Vaction Part 2! Grandma Harris'

Our Summer Fun would not have been complete without a trip to the ZOO!!! We decided that it would be fun to take Archer and one of his best pals Roarbert to the zoo in Idaho Falls. So Archer could see a real live Roarbert. Archer was all set in his little Gilligan hat and all greased up with sunscreen.

It made me a little nervous when Joel thought he would show Archer the ducks swimming in the pond below us by holding him over the edge, and of course Archer loved it! I knew that Joel would had a good grip on our little monkey. But HEY, I'm a Mom, worry is what I do when my child is hanging over the edge of a bridge looking at ducks. :)

We made our way to the petting zoo part, where there were a ton of GOATS!!! Who wants to pet a GOAT, Seriously!!! Whatever?!! Archer wasn't too sure about them nibbling at his feet and hands.
Archer did think the Chickens were pretty funny, but I don't think they liked him, they were getting pretty"peckish."

We had to grab a Fun picture with Grandma Harris and Aunt Jessica. It was so much fun having Jessica there too. It was even her birthday while we were there and we surprised her with a gift card to Barnes and Nobles, which she used right away.

We finally made it to the Lions, who were sleeping, but if you look close you can see Roarbert's cousin snoozing under the tree.

Archer totally loved the monkeys!!! There was one that kept swinging and jumping back and forth. And Archer's little head would turn to see where he had gone. I even managed to catch a picture of the monkey doing a power slide across the bar.

Later that day, Joel and his Dad went fishing, leaving us girls to have all the fun without them. Lucky for Archer Grandma Harris has a swimming pool too, So we sat out and got some sun while Archer Splish Splashed in the water.

So we all felt like we the best babysitters in the world, when Archer decided to eat his foot, but quickly found out that there was water in the way. The poor guy stuck his entire face under water. Good thing he is so well mannered, he just sat up, blew some raspberries and went on playing.

He especially liked it when we would pour water over his hands and arms, his little budda belly would jiggle, with a giggle.

After family pictures in Utah we stopped to see Great Grandma and Grandpa Harris. Archer had fun showing off his new trick of sitting up for them, while we chatted and heard some funny stories about Joel as a kid.

This is one of my most favorite pictures of the trip. Three very handsome guys who I love very much!!

Like usual our summer vacations go by way to fast and before we know it I am staring at a mound of laundry that needs to be put away. We had so much Fun spending time with our Families and I hope that next Summer we can spend even more time together.

FATHER'S DAY!!!

Happy First Father's Day Joel!!! I wanted to take Joel fishing and out to Red Lobster for father's day but the wind was blowing too hard and Joel ended up working the night before. So my plan changed last minute and we had a fun day at home playing with the Boy.

I didn't want Joel to miss out on the opportunity to have a new Tie to wear to church, so Archer and I ventured out to Macy's and Archer helped me pick the perfect one. I also made him apple pie the day before so it would be nice and cold, just the way he likes it. Later we watched Sherlock Holmes and I warmed up my pie, just the way I like it. :)

The Day was filled with Archer and Joel playing games and especially, Catch Face, a game that Joel's dad used to play with him as a child. Joel was so excited to play it with Archer, he has been wanting to ever since he was born. Its a good thing that boy like to rough house.

Later we decided to go for a Sunday drive, one to get out of the house and two to get Archer to take a nap. We ended up a great little park and campground that Joel would be taking his scouts to for a camp out. It was really pretty and the next time family comes to visit that is most definitely on the to do list.

Like I said, the wind was really blowing that day, and poor little Archer was getting quite the new hair do.We enjoyed walking around the park and I look forward to the weather being better so we can go back and really have some fun. So the cute little shirt Archer is wearing, ( the shirt says, I love Dad because... and on the back it says, He always has my back, and it shows the back of the panda's.) I had been saving just for Father's day. And well, a few days before Joel decided to actually look for an outfit and he came across the shirt, and the matching shorts. Needless to say, I washed it and he wore it again. The day  would not have been complete with out a Huge Kiss from both Mom and Dad. HAPPY FATHER'S DAY!!

Summer Fun at Grandma Jones'

For a few weeks Archer and I left Joel to go play, while he worked. Poor Joel!!!! But I did let him get a new video game to keep him company while we were gone. He followed us a week later for family pictures and some good ol' summertime fun!!! My Brother's wife and their daughter Brooke spent the week in Malad with us too. At the beginning of the week Archer didn't know how to sit up, but the poor guy kept getting trampled by his cousin that he learned how to pretty fast. Once he could sit up she just settled for taking his toys instead. It was so Much Fun watching them play and have fun. My mom found a super cute swimming pool for the kiddos, and well I think it is safe to say that I have a Water Baby!!! Grandpa Jones  was even a trooper and changed a few stinky diapers while we were there. You GO DAD!!!! When were taking family pictures it started to rain as we were finishing up and mom and dad didn't get all the ones they wanted so we took some after church of GMA and GPA with the babies. We had a blast spending time with the Fam and we can't wait for next time when BOTH of the Babies will be MOBILE!!! AHHHH!!!
